Comprehensive car insurance in North Cyprus

Protecting your own car starts with a clear description of the vehicle and the cover you need. Request a Lighti quote for an eligible vehicle, then review the price and policy terms together.

Check the vehicle’s online eligibility

Lighti checks the vehicle class and manufacturing year. The current online comprehensive quote flow supports passenger/saloon and van-pickup classes for vehicles under 15 years old. This is the rule for this online flow, not a statement about every insurer or policy. If your vehicle falls outside it, you can continue with third-party insurance and ask our team about a separate assessment.

Vehicle value is not the premium

Enter the value of the vehicle you wish to insure, not the amount you want to pay for insurance. Select the matching currency: STG (sterling), TL, USD or EUR. Check both the amount and currency in the resulting quote. Ask our team if you need help agreeing the vehicle value.

Read the cover and excess together

Review the quoted cover for collision, fire, glass and any optional natural-disaster benefits. Check your earthquake choice, limits, exclusions and excess—the part of a claim you may have to bear under the policy terms. A cover heading on this website does not mean that every offer includes it on the same terms.

Tell us about travel plans

If you need cover for use in Türkiye or the south of Cyprus, tell our team the destination and dates. Confirm the territory, duration, driver conditions and assistance services in writing. Do not assume that crossing a border is automatically covered.

Confirm before cover starts

Check the registration number, insured person, vehicle value, currency, premium and start date in the final documents. An online quote is followed by separate payment and policy issue steps; receiving a price alone does not start cover.

Questions before you start

Is earthquake cover automatically included?

Choose your preference in the form and confirm how it appears in the quote, including any limit or excess.

Does comprehensive insurance replace third-party insurance?

They address different needs. Third-party insurance concerns liability towards others; comprehensive cover is considered for damage to your own vehicle. Review both for your circumstances.

Are assistance and replacement-car services always included?

Do not assume every package has the same services. Ask for the applicable scope, conditions and limits before accepting the offer.
